Exploring the world of comic strips
through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one explains last week's haiku
shortage...
Reasons (excuses) for not submitting a Haiku:
Dog ate my Haiku.
Too hyped on the Superbowl.
Had jury duty.
--Michael
Haiku number two enjoyed the 42nd version
of the football championship game...
Super Superbowl!
" Perfect season," perfect end.
Eli - for the win!!!
--Bobby
The start of haiku number three seems familiar...
Super Super Bowl
A Good Game, Everyone Wins
New York Giants Win!?!
--Michael
Haiku number four thinks certain cartoonists
spend too much time reveling in dancing glory and not enough time doing other
things...
Thriller mania
Brian's big ego expands
Where is that baby?
--Cee
Haiku number five compares football and
politics...
A Giant upset.
Primaries have just begun.
No more upsets please.
--Sarcasmo
Haiku
number six gets Haiku of
the
Week because we, too, were getting sick of "SportsCenter" being "PatriotsCenter"...
Greatest of all time?
No, it's not the Patriots...
But the Manning boys
Maybe now it stops:
Those brown-nosing sports pundits
Fawning over Tom
(But I doubt it.)
One more good thing, though...
Belichick a big loser
And classless to boot.
On to a different topic:
I'm all fired up
I vote tomorrow...but no!
Can't make the caucus.
--Chris
