Exploring the world of comic strips
through vague Japanese poetry.
November 20, 2008
The content on this page is solely created by you, the viewers, so if you want to see more, you'll have to contribute something yourself.
- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku
number one likes our
economic theories...
Brian is so smart
Economy needs brian
His ideas, Spot on.
Lundmark Twenty Twelve
Maybe with Palin again.
Or better yet, KHAN.
--anthony
Haiku
number two ponders a different
character in the station without realizing that
his hair is perfect for space...
What's up with Dagwood?
When did he arrive in space?
Did I miss a strip?
--Sarcasmo
Haiku
number three gets Haiku of
the
Week for reminding us that sometimes pirates aren't just about walking
the
plank and eyepatches...
How about a current affair flair?
Supertanker stole,
Near the Horn of Africa,
Gas prices rise soon.
Speak like a pirate,
Can you speak some Somali?
Thieves on the high seas.
--Leif
