Exploring the world of comic strips
through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one is an epic, but the BCS
system deserves nothing less...
Last time I tried this, I messed up some of the syllables.
I think these will all work, though.
Early October
Losses matter but where's the
" Full body of work"?
Computers knew it
Soon voters will know it, too:
Sooners over Horns
Poor ol' Mack Brown cries
His whining got him nowhere
Texas Longhorns stink
Sooners beat Mizzou
Then stomp some SEC butt
NC on the way!!
OU has many
National Championships
Seven...but soon EIGHT
OU-UT's big
But next year's game will be mean
After this year's mess
#1 vs #2?
Heisman first vs second?
One for the ages?

Haiku
number two wonders about Britney...
britney makes comeback
looks good and under control
but is album good?
--Mikki
Haiku number three wonders what we meant
when we asked people on December 2nd to "ponder
what Britney
Spears, Lucy
Liu, and Brian have in common (Lucy even more than Britney)"....
What's the common link?
You're all beautiful women?
Nope, I've seen your pics.

Haiku
number four gets Haiku of
the
Week for figuring it out, and it is awesome, indeed...
December second
is the day when people should
sing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!"
Congrats - (its mine too - how awesome is that).
