Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

The content on this page is solely created by you, the viewers, so if you want to see more, you'll have to contribute something yourself.
- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one reminds us of all-encompassing evil...
Something strange coming from a Windows-user:
One OS to rule
Them all...written on bottom
Of Windows XP!
Bill Gates a Dark Lord?
Of course! That's common knowledge.
In dark he binds us...
--Chris Dyal
Haiku number two celebrates both the best-known loser in tennis and the Englishman who-- with the early losses by Sampras and Agassi-- is now the favorite...
So now you're dissing Wimbledon? Here's a haiku for the "casual male viewer" of the mailbag:
Kournikova out!
Male viewers all switching off.
Adidas is MAD!
As always, this year
is Tim Henman's "greatest chance".
All cheer, "Come on, Tim!"
(Not that I think it's going to happen or anything. English sportsmen have a habit of crashing out at incredibly dramatic and heartbreaking moments. Still, it's fun to watch. I tend not to cheer for the Americans at Wimbledon, since they always seem to win anyway. Also, I'd probably get beaten up by the Limeys!)

Haiku number three is the Haiku of the Week, but not for the obvious reason...
My I.S.P. is
Behaving strangely so I
Just read last week now.
Can read Rockwood but
A.I.M. won't work. Friends left
In dark 'bout great strip.
Of course it's bad. S.
B.C. owns Ameritech.
Service always sucks.
While mother looks at
Earthlink, I wish school was in.
For the T1 line.
Will this become the
Haiku of the Week if I
use bootylicious?
--Elizabeth
