Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one tells the tale of a typo we can't seem to find...
Brian,
Web site glitch serves as
My haiku inspiration.
(Errors are my muse?)
The flow of time is
Disturbed. Haiku Thursday is
Stuck in September.
--Roy
Haiku number two is in-duck-ted into our haiku party...
In reply to Mikki's letter about Rockwood going "British":
Rockwood goes British?
Brits don't know what AFLAC is.
Those ads aren't shown here.
Why are ducks funny?
Do-duck-ahedron joke is.
New research study?
--Christina, Honorary (or honourary) Brit
And haiku number three is Haiku of the Week for highlighting our lateness, but doing so poetically...
Thursday evening
is Haiku time. We'll all sleep
in, Thurday morning!
Who needs coffee when
You've got Rockwood fun. Caffeine
Just isn't as good.
--Elizabeth
