Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one kicks off Haiku Thursday's first anniversary by seemingly contradicting itself...
One year of haiku?
Thursdays I won't read Rockwood!
Give it up, Brian.
--MWF fan
Haiku number two celebrates by lauding browsers other than Internet Explorer...
A haiku for my new web browser of choice... happy one year haiku anniversary!
Hooray, Chimera!
It's Mozilla cocoaized
OmniWeb with tabs!
--Greg Brand
Haiku number three asks for an honor which it does not win...
Haiku of the week baby...
Two movies to watch,
Star Wars 2, Harry Potter
Rockwood beats them both.
--Leif
Finally, haiku number four is Haiku of the Week on this special week for asking: be we angels? Nay! We are but men! ROCK!
In honor of the first anniversary of the silliest and possibly most brilliant idea to fill a Thursday:
This is not the best
Haiku Thursday in the world -
It's just a tribute.
--Christina
