Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one give us one more chance to remind everyone that Team Rockwood doesn't determine the size of Haiku Thursday, rather, reader submissions do...
Small mailbag, what gives?
Party Planning for 'Friends' AND
Cinco De Mayo
--Sarcasmo
Haiku number two notices the small things...
Final ep. of "Friends"
I think it's overrated
Look! It is the newt!
--Syn
Haiku number three notices the smaller things, along with NBC's neglect...
"Fraiser's next" so says
The paper. NBC seems
To think we don't care.
(Really. I haven't seen one promo for Fraiser, yet I can't swing a cat without hitting something about Friends.)
--Elizabeth
Haiku number four gets Haiku of the Week for reminding us that we haven't mailed that card yet...
Spring springs here and there.
Mothers prepare for big day.
Children pay tribute.
I thought I would remind you that your mom is waiting!
--Just me
