Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one is... uh... well, it is what it is...
new maid in the house
i brief her what not to do
in every room
--john tiong chunghoo
Haiku number two produces despite a week's delay...
Haikus are on hold,
But a Haiku you shall get.
Get well soon Brian.
--Sarcasmo
Haiku number three... uh... is there something in the water this week?...
Helga is cracking
her big knuckles once again,
oh I miss my knee.
--Roadrage
Haiku number four piles on the big man...
Monday, Moore's too thin.
Wednesday, He's much too polite.
What will Friday bring?
--Sarcasmo
Haiku number five makes us wonder why the Moore supporters aren't writing in. Surely we're not the only ones who kind of like his stuff...
Needless to say, I won't be going to see Fahrenheit 9/11...
Michael as Jabba.
An accurate portrayal
For the Bush-hater.
--Syn
But haiku number six gets Haiku of the Week for making a bizarre Star Wars-Michael Moore connection. We admit we would never have thought of it ourselves. Maybe Michael Moore is the emperor! Hmmm...
First, looks like Lucas,
then, like his fat creation.
Who 'ya insulting?
Is it that same man
Who made the devil Jar Jar,
let alone Ewoks...
Or a crazy man
Who needs a vacation NOW.
Could be the readers...
--Randy
