Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one kicks off this week with the proper Halloween spirit...
Old, Can't Trick-or-Treat.
In the Mirror, Crypt Keeper.
Time, AHHHH the Horror!
--Shrieeeeking Mike
Haiku number two is apathetic about the whole week...
Politics bore me.
George equals war, Kerry peace?
Just give me more beer.
--The Political Cynic
Haiku number three thinks the election is obvious...
Election Day nears.
Terrorists endorse Kerry.
How should we vote? DUH!
--Sarcasmo
Haiku number four apparently thinks Skip is betting on the election. How silly! How would he do that?...
What are the odds? What is Skip taking to the bank????
Two seventy votes
Needed for candidate win.
Who will make the cut?
--Me again
Finally, haiku number five gets Haiku of the Week for poetically stating what must be the biggest upset in a lifetime, even if it only took four games...
Just to prove that something good CAN come from Massachusetts:
Elections are nigh
Just when all hope appears lost
Sox are in The Show
Maybe seven games
Will help relieve the sting of
Election nonsense
Sox fans celebrate!
Maybe Kerry supporters
Are too drunk to vote
