Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one celebrates with the victors...
Colts are the WORLD Champs!
Yay for Dungy and Manning!
We're Number One! Aaaaaaahhhhhh!
--Mikki
Haiku number two cryptically references The Office...
Why Pam wears white Keds:
Maybe Jim knows the answer
Green shoes walked away
--Miss Priss
Haiku number three discovers the real biggest story of the week...
No Superbowl in
the mailbag? Did ya'll watch
the game or Thriller?
--MIkki
Haiku number confuses us. We thought dancing was always happy...
Rioting in streets
Men no longer have excuse
Dancing's gay no more.
--Anthony
Haiku number five wonders if we still have our bile up over missing our HD signal. The answer is yes, but it's not ABC that's at fault, but rather their local affiliate (who isn't getting ANYTHING from us)...
A landmark event
Lundmark seen on ABC
Did his boycott end?
--Monty
Haiku number six reminds us that we're here today, and forgotten tomorrow...
Rockwood on TV
What could be better than that?
Fame is so fleeting
--Jane Rohan
Finally, haiku number seven gets Haiku of the Week for being the most optimistic, even if it isn't the most realistic...
Go Brian!
Rockwood hits big time...
Good Morning America!
Next is Hollywood.
--Alyce
