archive mailbag who's who store promote promote

Express yourself!

Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)

So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

I just came across this site and this comic for the first time. Rather enjoyable. I can assure I'll be back! :)

I was wondering... How far back does the comic go? The archives go back to 2001 and the purchase of the space station. Some of the "classic strip sets" seem to go back way farther. I thought I saw one from 1994!

Is there an archive that goes further back, or was it a less rigourous publishing schedule before that point, focusing on topic elements (like the Election 2000 campaign) to drive the drawing of strips?

Welcome, Michael! It's always nice to see new faces! The truth is that Rockwood goes back over a decade now in some form or another on a regular schedule, but most of that wasn't online, so you'll never find it, no matter how hard you look.

Of course, we have this crazy fantasy that one day Team Rockwood will suddenly become a lot less lazy and we'll put every Rockwood strip ever on one easy to peruse CD-ROM, but then, that would require us to stop watching so much television. And you can probably figure out the likelihood of that happening.

Ah, yes... somehow I knew California's recall would make its way into your comic strip...

We have quite a choice here... THE Arnold, the Lt. Governor, Larry Flynt (ugh!), and Gary Coleman (anybody remember him???)... plus about 4 or 5 hundred (thousand?) other sundry candidates... It's tragic... how will we be able to choose?

Maybe Skip is the best candidate... after all, from way up there... he surely has the BIG PICTURE!

James, what we find hilarious is that how everyone always screams for choices, but now that California has them, those same people call it a joke! Oh well...

Nonetheless, we think that there are plenty of worthwhile candidates in the California governor's race. Perhaps you could choose one yourself!

SKIP for Gov! I'd vote for the guy with the huge chin. Speaking of which, do you know if Vegas has the odds out on the candidates yet? I'd put my money on Gary Coleman to squeak by everyone. The votes for the lead Democrat (Lt. Gov., can't find the name) will be canceled out by Arnold. But God forbid if we get Larry Flynt. Can imagine what would the required reading in his office?

Big chin? We didn't even know he was running! Nor do we know the odds of any of the candidates. We suspect it's still too early.

Don't worry too much about Larry Flynt's book club, though. We have a feeling he's more of a picture-book kinda guy.

SKIP FOR GOVERNOR!! As a California resident, I'd vote for him. Heck, he can't be any worse than the current reject from a poorly drawn Doonesbury cartoon we currently have!

We actually find it a little disturbing just how many different drawings of himself Gray Davis has on his website. Click around. It's frightening.

But if there are a few million more in California like you, Mark, we think that come October, Sacramento will have a brand new chief executive in office, and he'll be calling you dude!
