Express yourself!

Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)

So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

Speaking of Banana Phones or Banana Death... Did you know that in the early 1980's there was a restaurant in Boulder, Colorado called "Bananas!"... that featured drawings of bananas incorporated into other "ideas"... like the lion with a banana bunch mane... I think one of their waiters was actually featured on a Real People-type show because he could remember anything you ordered, even if you switched places at the table while he wasn't looking... Think you can find any links to any of that?

Uh...no.

But we do remember an episode of "That's Incredible" about spontaneous human combustion that kinda freaked us out and we did find a link about that.

Remember, James, please don't try this at home.

On August 9th's strip... is that a reference to Scott Kurtz (author of PvP)? You dawg! You do have taste on other web comics! :-) Aside from your own, of course!

--Aaron Slater

Of course, Aaron! We have to know who the competition is, and PvP is the 800-pound gorilla of web comics. However, our personal favorite is Sinfest. It's not exactly family-friendly, but oh if Team Rockwood art looked that good. Sigh...

In response to Monday's strip.

I know it's early, but I am already thinking about Christmas shopping. When will the 2005 calendars be out? And what about the T-shirts?

By my purchasing your merchandise, I can help you make money in the dot.com world.

--Leif

We appreciate your willingness to buy, Leif, but you're way ahead of us. It'll be months before the new calendars come out (think Thanksgiving-ish). As for the T-shirts, we're hoping before the end of this month, but the Olympics might keep us busier than we expect, so don't mark that down.

In either case, don't worry. We'll be sure to put links-a-plenty all over the site, so it won't sneak by you.

So, where can I get the book that Al is reading? A little "Dysfuntional Family Circus" would do me good. Speaking of which, the Team hasn't presented any more of Billy's work lately. I loved the one where they went to Tijuana!

--Bad Panda

Unfortunately, the real Dysfunctional Family Circus is long since dead, Panda, a victim of Bil Keane's teams of lawyers.

As for Billy, he only shows up when Brian goes on vacation. Although, there's a chance he might pop up pretty soon if Brian gets overwhelmed with the upcoming Olympic coverage. Keep your eyes open.

I love how no matter how smart-alec my contribution to Rockwood is, it gets into the mailbag.

On that note, the letter I would like to write in is: L.

This email was sponsored by the letter L and the number 3.

That's right! Now Rockwood is providing helpful education tips! You know, for the kids!
