Express yourself!
Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)
So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

Maybe Khan uses (scroll to fifth letter) some sort of evil human-killing OS. Maybe a "devious operating system." He can call it DOS or something.
....oh, wait.

We always wondered what that abbreviation really stood for, Syn. We think your explanation is as good as any.

KHAN's OS: OpenVMS - not a pretty GUI but secure and stable :)

Hmm...well, KHAN definitely isn't pretty, so that part works, but we don't know if we'd really call him "stable."

I would have thought that Khan's O/S was pretty cut and dry. It's easy to see once you look at some of Khan's characteristics:
1)Bizarre and almost nonsense anachronym for a name.
2)Hatred for all humans, due to contradictory and possibly incomplete programming.
3)Desire to kill all humans with his bare hands, but inability to get any real killing done because he has no hands.
4)Bulky, 60's style server appearance.
Based on the above, Khan is clearly written with AS/400 code.
1)Bizarre and almost nonsensicle command structure.
2)Hatred by all humans, due to contradictory and possibly incomplete programming.
3)Written to accomplish a multitude of jobs, but inability to get any real work done because no one understands it well enough to use it.
4)4)Bulky, 60's style server.

Heh. So many operating systems, so little idea of which one KHAN is. Skip bought the station with KHAN already in place, so we may never know which OS the CIA programmed into him, Panda. Thankfully, KHAN takes care of himself at this point, so the question is almost moot. That is, until he needs an upgrade.

Hi guys, this is just a simple note to say I enjoy your site. James M., who I think may know some of you (Oklahoma boy, really appreciated Oct 8 strip), turned me on to it and I love it! Thanks so much!

You're welcome so much, Donna! James truly is a quality individual, and he has good taste in comic strips. We're glad you're here, too!

Perhaps it is just a coincidence, but the ghoul/skeleton in the 10/25 strip has quite a resemblence to Dan Rather in the 10/22 strip. If they had a talking skeleton reading the news on CBS, I would probably watch every night.
My bad -- I see know that the bowed out this time10/25 skeleton is just a reappearance of Hugh Hefner (see the 4/19/2000 strip). I can't wait for covergirls discussing politics...

Close but not quite, Dale. The cryptkeeper in the current strip differs from Hef in that he has ears, but no babes. Obviously, Hef has chosen the right combination here.
As for Dan, both the cryptkeeper and Rather share the same deep-set eye sockets, but Dan has more hair and less integrity. We'll call this one a toss-up.

That Nader landslide was just out of left field, wasn't it?
But, really, I don't find it as shocking as what happened in my own home state: Keyes beat Obama by a 20% margin! Nobody saw that going in!
....Well, you did say to be scary for Halloween.

AAA!! We said scary, Elizabeth, not terrifying. Now we're going to have trouble sleeping. Fortunately, we have a tape recording of "Kerry's Greatest Stump Speeches" that should take care of that.
