I can stay silent no longer. Remakes suck! Let me reiterate - Remakes are ruinous, underhanded, and cheap. Even after Mr. Reeve had his accident, I still saw him as Superman. He was the hero of my youth. The first, great superhero. And now they want to change his face - WHY? Money, why else. There is no art here, no respect. The film was made to make money and cash in on the superhero wave. Why not think up your own, you theiving Hollywood sharks? And then to use someone who looks like Reeve is even more insulting. Not even trying to take your own spin on it. Up yours, Singer! You've taken a great and inspiring memory, dressed it up in youth and CG graphics, and twisted it for profits. Not my money, Singer, not this time. P.S. Get busy on X-Men 4.

But tell us how you really feel, Tony.

Having not seen it, we can't really comment on the new Superman movie. Team Rockwood's position on remakes is that they're inevitable, so there's no point in getting too upset about them. What we do have a problem with is the lack of writing skills in Hollywood. Attention all producers! We love movies where things blow up, but explosions do not equal screenwriting. There has to be a reason.

Yea, in Office Space... and a few other dozen movies...(I forget which ones). I can think of nothing else to say now...oh well it is something for your little mailbag. Can you name any other movies that used that plot? I know there are more than just office space.

While we don't claim to be film historians, Rookee, there is only one other movie we know of with that plot point, and that was kind of the point of the joke.

Regarding Monty's soccer haiku, only in the first round, Monty - only in the first round. That's still worth 1 point. But I agree, Americans by and large don't care about soccer (sad, because it is very likely that most of our immigrant ancestors liked the sport)

--Anonymous

That may be true, Anonymous, but remember: those ancestors left their soccer-dominant countries. Maybe they were fleeing that sport for something better!

Okay... what's going on here... Monday and Wednesday's strips are the same one? Are we having a Groundhog Day experience?

--James

Uhh... we were pretty sure those strips were different, James. If you're seeing things that aren't there, maybe you should be referencing another movie

So which one of the Rockwood gang planned this hole "keep-the-shuttle-out-of-the-sky-till-independance-day-thing"? I just hope there arn't any snakes on it. (snakes in the stars) oh..and I saw a preview for that movie, but the preview didn't help me understand it. it felt like it was trying to be funny. it isn't a comedy is it?

--Rookee Alding

We can't disclose our sources for keeping the Space Shuttle grounded until Tuesday, Rookee. Just let it be known that the reach of Team Rockwood is far greater than you can imagine.

As for "Snakes on a Plane", it is neither comedy nor drama. It is just plain, freakin' awesome.
