"The next two or three weeks are going
to be a bit odd as far as the schedule goes. Over the next two weeks, I'll
be working at the WCWS, which
has
very odd
hours (and a couple of very loooongg days). The week after that, Grandma
turns 90, and when you turn 90 years old, you can demand that everyone
shows up for
your birthday party. Long story short, I'll be out of the state for a few
days."
Do you have any idea how closely that
resembles what I tell my wife every few months?

Every few months? Really? How many 90-year-old grandmothers do you have, DH?

You see, if you try to speak normally
on the internet you seem over-educated to be on it. The only people who
use correct grammar on the
internet are
those who are smart, don't you know?

We'll be honest, Rookee, the use of net-speak confuses us. If you're texting
on your phone, we understand that it might be easier to cut things short,
but anytime we've used an IM program, it took us more time to think of the
appropriate
internet acronym than it did just to type out the words in full. Maybe
we're just better typists than most.

Are we going to see some of this Thriller
dancing at the reunion next month?
--David Libiez

|

Yes, it's true. Brian is officially old this summer. He's now been out of
high school far longer than he ever was in high school. And this year, with
the weird success of his
wedding reception dance, he returns with an odd
sort of fame.
But dancing in front of all those alumni?
Eesh! Talk about nerve-wracking! Truth be told, it might not even work.
The mix of the song from the "Thriller"
CD is different than the mix of the song from the "Thriller" video,
and Brian isn't sure that he's talented enough to do the dance to a different
cut. Some practice might be necessary.
Hmm... on the other hand, might this be
the next video that ends up on YouTube? The mind reels...

What happened to the updates, Dude?

Sorry, Rose. We were just really busy there for a few weeks. It's all good
now, though!

I know you're bouncing around doing
Important Things, but your "LOL" strip pretty much demands a place at lolbots.com. I'd send it myself, but that
feels tacky to me. Am I just too polite for these here internets? Hmm...
--Katie

|

 |
|
Perhaps, Katie, but we appreciate the politeness. Thanks! And to solve your
moral quandry, we've submitted it ourselves. We'll see if they pick it up.
Thanks for that, too!

Thank you so much for your
page. I'm
self pay and finding out how much sh** costs is a royal pain. Doctors
keep better secrets than the
CIA!

Glad we could help out a little bit, Kami. Our recommendation to everyone
else is to avoid damaging your ACL in the first place. It's really not any
fun getting it fixed.
