Hey guys,

I'm sure you know, but you have started a HUGE trend. Thanks a lot! Now because my husband is part of a wedding party I have to perform Thriller sometime throughout the night as a surprise to the guests. You guys did a great job! Hopefully we get it right for the bride and groom.

My only thought on the whole thing now though is will there be enough booze to give us all the courage we will need to meet the expectations? Also, after searching youtube I'm wondering why our bride and groom couldn't be a little more creative and pick there own song? Oh well.

--Hope

ps. Congrats on the marriage!!! (And your 15 minutes of fame:-)

Thanks, Hope! For Brian's wedding, the dance came toward the beginning, so the drinking hadn't even begun yet. We recommend that approach. If (when!) your dance is a success, you'll be sober enough to soak up the glory. On the other hand, if something bad should happen, that's really when you'd want to start drinking anyway. Good luck!

Brian (nice name, it's my son's name too...),

You guys rock! I posted your YouTube video in the blog of my MySpace page. My daughter got married a year ago in June and when she saw the video yesterday she went "AWWWWW. My reception was so boring". I've watched the video about 25 times. It never gets old!

--Elizabeth Woods

P.S. Have you seen this? Your video is posted on a French-speaking website but I'm not sure if it's a Canadian or French site.

It never gets old, and it never dies out, Elizabeth. Brian thought that the hype was going to be over waaaay back in February, right after the Wedding Thriller Dance aired on Good Morning America. Back then, it had a meager 500,000 hits and we thought that was outrageous. Today we sit at over 2.6 million and... well, we don't make predictions anymore. Clearly, we at Team Rockwood have no idea of when this thing will ever end.

But given that Brian's anniversary is mere days away, it seems pretty clear that it's going to clear the one year mark. Who would have thought a cartoonist's wedding would be making national headlines a year later?

Brian,

Just a quick hello. Just to let you and your wife know, I have watched your wedding video a lot and share it with anyone that comes to see me. I found out about the video through my sister Mary that worked with your wife. That is about the best and greatest that I have seen. Mary told me how it came about and the practice you guys put into it. Keep it up and thanks again for the smiles you have put on countless peoples faces.

Putting smiles on faces is what we here at Team Rockwood are all about, Janie. Fortunately for you we've switched to the dancing method of putting smiles on faces. We used to use bad makeup jobs. Fortunately, Bruce talked us out of that.

Just saw you on Inside Edition a few minutes ago (August 6)...and look forward to watching you Tuesday night on ABC! Brian rocks...or should I say swings...or is it high stepping!?! Anyway... we enjoy all the attention you are getting on TV.

--Alyce

Swings? High steps? No! Claws!

Although being on TV has been fun, Alyce, it's also been a little surreal. After all, can you even imagine two million people watching your wedding? Think of how long the line would be for the buffet!

I'd say that Golf is the National Naptime. True, Bond's record is suspect, and the pro league has stunk pretty much since the last strike. But, the minor leagues and the college games are pretty cool (go to a Sooners or OKC game sometime).

Golf, on the other hand - they just don't have the fans, the excitement. And they can't even spell your name right, if memory serves. Talk about boring.

We have to admit, Jerry, there has been more than one occasion when we turned on golf just so the soothing voices of the announcers would lull us into a peaceful slumber on the couch. We think this is a valuable service. What better way to keep Sunday a day of rest than for the whole nation to nap together?
