Say, Brian,

If you have time to get the Rockwood Calendars out this early, what are the chances you could use that time you usually spend on the calendars getting things done at the last minute, and don't need to do this year, making a few T-shirts? I'm glad the Rockwood Calendars will be out early enough to be used as Christmas gifts. I'd probably buy a few T-shirts too if they were available.

Chances are... well, we'll see, Jim. We're not going to promise anything, but we're willing to consider it. All we need to do is figure out what would go good on a t-shirt. That's a little more difficult than just picking out some strips and rescanning them for print resolution, but we'll give it a shot!

Hi,

I was just wondering what version of "Thriller" is being used on your wedding video. My niece and her friends want to dance it for her sweet 16 party. If you could let me know that would be great.

Thanks alot,

--Michelle

We went straight to the source, Michelle, and bought Michael Jackson's DVD. The version of "Thriller" on the video is different than the CD version, so you can't do the dance to that. Well... you could, we guess, but it wouldn't work out right.

On your problem of films to see on Veterans Day: this is why you should always have on hand a few of the following: The Longest Day, Midway, Enemy Below, Patton, The Great Escape, that sort of thing. If you want documentaries and are feeling gloomy, do World At War, Victory At Sea if you're feeling chipper.

--Andrew

Andrew... you magnificent bastard, WE READ YOUR LETTER! And we like the idea. In fact, we've seen most of this list already (yes, even the very long and kind of boring "World At War"). Our only complaint about war movies is that, to Hollywood, any American military involvement after World War II portrays the U.S. as the bad guys. We're not saying that every movie about the military has to be positive but seriously -- after freeing tens of millions of people in Korea, Grenada, Panama, Kuwait, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq -- wouldn't you think that there could be at least some positive movies made about the military in any of those wars? We're just sayin'.

Brian:

Any special plans for Thanksgiving? My husband and I are staying home, just the two of us. He's cooking the turkey however, as I have bad luck with them, even the ones with the pop up thing in them.

--Jane Rohan

Well, every Thanksgiving is special, Jane, but we have nothing unusual planned for this one. Mostly, we're just going to stuff ourselves until we have to loosen our belts. Now, aftter Thanksgiving will we be getting up at 5 a.m.? Uh... no. But we will be watching Bedlam!

I'm thankful for a great looking wife that makes tons more money than I do so I can work at a job I like instead of a job I hate just to make money. And great children too.

--Jim Rockwood

Spoken just like a certain cartoonist we know, Jim! Well, except for the children part. Great... now we're going to get letters from Mom.
