October 21, 2008,
Just before you get tooooo excited about
a Conservative
government in Canada you should know a few things.
1. It's a minority government, meaning
the three other opposition parties could force another election if
they wanted to.
2. The Conservatives got about 37% of
the vote. The rest went to centre and left wing parties.
3. Conservatives up here are divided into
two main camps. Alberta
Conservatives who you would consider to be moderate Republicans
and "Red Tories" who
would be slightly right of Clinton.
4. Most of our politicians (right and
left) have admitted to inhaling at least once.

We're not really that excited about going to Canada, Simon, it was mainly
just a joke. In fact, unless our friends in the Great White North
stop trying
to ban free speech, we'd be a little leery of moving up there.
We'll be happy in this country even if the candidate we favor loses.

You better watch out for the media...you've
got 5+ years of history easily accessible for the lazy researchers.
"Back in 2004, Brian the Comic Strip
Writer..."

That would be awesome, Leif! We've always wanted a nickname. And while "Brian
the Comic Strip Writer" is a little unwieldy, it could finally give
us enough name recognition to actually make it to the big time... you know,
like to
Congress.

...and if
you are an engineer (scroll to last letter) you believe that
the glass is twice as large as it needs to be. So, the finance committee
will eventually cut your budget accordingly, so good luck providing
enough capacity next fiscal year.

Ah, engineer jokes. What a shame we have to wait until February to
make some more. Ha! We don't! Check out some practical engineer humor right
