December 31, 2008,
I purchased your
calendar from the website. Thanks Brian. You are the best! I
will be checking out the OK game..... Florida....Florida ....Florida!
lol

Oh, Sears, people can chant "Florida" all they want, but our
prediction is that the Gator defense isn't going to know what hit them
Thursday night. This isn't the first time that Florida has been the favorite
against a Big 12 team in a national championship game. The last
time didn't go so well for Gator fans. And that Nebraska team only
averaged 53 points a game. This year's Sooners are averaging
54. We think after Thursday, the Sooners will need to make room on
the shelf for trophy
number eight.

January 4, 2009,
Happy New Year!!!
You know, with newspapers on the decline
as you mentioned, I have to ask myself: what will grade-school kids
do for jobs when paper routes are history? Another soon-to-be-out-of-work
section of society I guess. Maybe Skip could finance bicycle coffee
delivery or something...

You're already too late, Panda. Although Brian himself got started with
a paper route, the sad fact is that adults
are already taking over those jobs, and kids are getting squeezed
out. Pardon us while we get into old-guy mode...
Why, when we were kids, our news was printed
on dead trees, not beamed straight into your head-modem like it is
today! And to deliver it we had to pedal our bicycles through two feet
of snow, uphill the whole way around the block!

January 5, 2009,
What was your New Year's celebration
like? Was the Rockwood party wild and crazy?
Does 2009 feel any different than 2008 yet? Was the ball drop as annoying
and cliche as it always is? Did Carson Daly have anyone watching his
network? Did Dick Clark make his obligitory appearance? Did Ryan Seacrest's
hair have new highlights?
(Being sick I crashed about 6pm New Year's
Eve and woke up about 3pm New Year's Day. Whooo, what a party animal!)
--Mikki
P.S. Have you ever considered doing vertical
panels for the strip? And how many folks have inquired about a Rockwood book?
If there was enough of a public outcry would it happen?
|
|
|
 |
|
We briefly saw Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest on TV, Mikki, but our New Year's
celebration was only more exciting than yours in that we were awake
when the ball dropped. We'll save up for the 2010 party.
A Rockwood book?
We suppose it's always possible, but for now, it's unlikely. We'd have
to rescan every cartoon we have and that takes a lot of time. Your
best bet for Rockwood in print is available
now in a 2009
Rockwood Calendar! Buy one today!

January 5, 2009,
So, I ordered a Rockwood
Calendar. How about an autograph on it?
--Leif

|
|
 |
|
Funny you should mention that, Leif! All Rockwood
Calendars come signed by the author, so yours has already shipped with
a personal note and autograph. Enjoy!
