April 1, 2009,

Loved the strip (Wednesday). I actully took the bait and thought you were giving it up for a second. I am very pleased that I will not have to find another website to look at everyday to fill this websites 7 minutes of goof off time.

We're pleased, too, Anthony. And just in case anyone is curious, we did recycle this joke. The original idea was way back in 2002. So we suppose you can look forward to a sequel in another seven years, assuming we last that long.

April 1, 2009,

I sent this morning's strip to my daughter with a note that you were quitting. Thanks for helping me get her. She really enjoys your strip too.

By the way, when are we going to get the next generation going so my grandchildren can read Rockwood too. I'll bet there is some pressure from your mother on that front too. You will be teaching them how to draw, won't you?

--Jim Rockwood

The next generation? Who do we look like, Jim? Team Rockwood doesn't have any plans to pull a Hagar the Horrible or Family Circus and pass down the strip from one generation to the next. No, we'll tell our offspring to create their own danged strip. With any luck, theirs will actually make a profit and they can support us in our old age!

April 6, 2009,

So Monday's strip was SO TRUE!

I laugh every time I see the 'I'm a PC' commercials because they're not as funny or cute or terrific as the Mac vs. PC commercials. They're too serious and compared to the Apple commercial series they're pretty lame.

But I feel her pain. My really old PC died. I was going to have to save up for a Mac 'cause man alive they're expensive. But then my parents gave me a Toshiba laptop that serves my purposes great.

It stinks but it take a bit of moolah to be a cool Mac person. It doesn't really take any 'coolness' per say. And I wasn't gonna argue with getting a free computer...

So for now I'm still a lame PC. Does Rockwood know of any support groups I could join?

--Mikki

A PC support group? Sure Mikki! You could try this one!

We love our Apple, but we definitely understand how someone would choose a free PC over a not-free Mac. However, once you start paying for it, we've found the long-term costs between platforms to be about even.

Of course, the most important thing is how well will your new computer run the Rockwood website? And we're happy to say that we're cross-platform, Mikki! Everyone gets to read Rockwood! Yayyyy!
