Exploring the world of comic strips through vague Japanese poetry.

- Haikus are a form of poetry that consists of three lines with five, seven, then five syllables on each respective line. For example...
Rockwood is in space (5 syllables)
On a circular station (7 syllables)
Looking down on Earth (5 syllables)
Obviously, that's pretty boring, but technically correct. Try to do more than just count syllables. Be creative!
- The haiku you submit doesn't necessarily have to have Rockwood mentioned in it, but it would be nice if it related to something in the site somehow, whether it be space-related or just pertaining to a topic brought up elsewhere.
On with the haikus!
Haiku number one blows up real good...
Fireworks exploding
Too much food and too much fun
I love holidays
--Larry C.
Haiku number two is good, but contains an error. Isn't it "The" Ohio State?
Bored, and can not sleep.
Thought I'd waste some time, Haiku?
Hey cool, this is fun!
Who am I? Lets see:
Macintosh enthusiast,
for many years now.
Besides Macintosh,
I also enjoy Magic.
Like rabbits from hats.
And college student,
Study Computer Science,
At Ohio State.
Well well, that is me.
Yes, I am pretty boring.
Won't print this, will you?
--Stephen Sebeny
Haiku number three came with five verses, but it turns out the computer couldn't count, so only two survived...
Random haiku, stolen from the Random Word Haiku engine:
Overmuch ostiole,
compote petulant unreeve,
catalase abject.
Telamon frazzle,
crazy bourgeoise astringent,
insolate dictum.
--William
Haiku number four need only look this far for answers to its poetic question...
No prevailing theme.
No haiku inspiration.
I'm lost without it.
Monday's strip inspires.
But only begs a question.
'1-3-3-T' means?
--Sarcasmo
And finally, haiku number five is Haiku of the Week for making engineering sexy. Not an easy task...
After reading last week's haiku about Charlies Angels big brains, I thought up a little plot involving Cameron Diaz and Engineers Week.
Charlie's Angels stunk
Team Rockwood should write screenplays
Chuck's Angles likely
--CsLjr
