Express yourself!

Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)

So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

June 24, 2003,

When do you think the city of Norman will figure out that:

1) Lindsey St needs 6 lanes (8 on Gamedays) instead of 2-3.
2) Gravity pulls water downhill, so putting drains at the highest point is a bad idea ("Lake McGee", at the intersection of Lindsey and McGee when it really rains).
3) The old Buy-for-Less would make a better car lot than a car wash & storage joint.
4) La Baguette (Boyd & Buchanan) was making a ton more sales tax than the antique shop they're planning to put there ever will.

I'm just curious if you're as cynical about those bastards as I am.

Well, Dan...

1. We've wondered this for 15 years, but our guess now would be whenever they come up with the $15 million to make it happen.
2. Heh. We once found out that as flat as that intersection looks, in a downpour you can still end up with water up to the hood of your car. This is not a good thing.
3. Oh yes, because what that part of town needs is more car dealerships.
4. Well, this isn't really the city's decision to make, but our guess is that if La Baguette's owners thought the property was that hot, they never would have sold it in the first place. Wethinks they may know something you do not.

Besides, our big questions with the city planners have to do with their backing of local museums. Why is it that some museums get full support from the city while other worthy ones (scroll down) die on the vine? Alas, we'll never know.

June 30, 2003,

A week late...I forgot to send this in...but the Tampa Storm has won the Arena Bowl! Woohoo! That makes Tampa the football capital of the world.

Who'd a thunk it?

Certainly not us, TRM. Although, before we get angry letters from the British, we should probably amend that to American football (i.e., the real football...as opposed to soccer). And be warned that some people up in Ohio are probably going to want to pick a fight with you as well. However, until their pro teams both win their respective championships, we probably have to give you at least the temporary title.

Oh, and that capital-ship only applies to pro teams, of course. We're thinking that the college capital might be somewhere familiar this year.
