Express yourself!
Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)
So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

While you present a good point with classical music/cartoons, don't forget "2001: A Space Odyssey."

Sorry, TRM, but Looney Toons has Kubrick beat by 25 years on using The Blue Danube as background music. As for that other 2001 song, we swear we've heard it somewhere before.

In response to 24 September 03,
Die Walkure, (Ride of the Valkyries)
R. Wagner from "Apocalypse Now" the dawn raid on 'Charlies' beach.

While the attack scene from that 1979 movie was indeed memorable, we have to confess that we know "Ride of the Valkyries" better by its 1957 name, Kill The Wabbit.

Okay saw today's Rockwood. I can't believe none of the space station inhabitants learned classical music from the movie "Excalibur," Especially "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana
and "Siegfried's Funeral March from The Ring"
And 2001!!!

Actually, since no one in Team Rockwood saw "Excalibur" until years after it originally was released, we spent less time listening to the music and more time laughing at what odd clothes they were making Captain Picard wear.

I can think of two pieces of music:
Rodeo by Copland (Beef its what's for dinner commercials), and Lakme in the British Airways commercials.

Hmm... and we thought we spent too much time watching TV!

Actually, aside from cartoons, I'd say that cell phones are the next biggest source of classical music exposure. Just a thought.

We have to disagree here, Andy. While we'll agree that lots of people use classical music on their cellphones, we don't think many people learn classical music that way. Now, if you could find away to get your cellphone to say "kill the wabbit, then you'd have something!

In response to your Vikings fan mail, I have to disagree with you. The Vikings have overcome their jinx with Dennie Green. With Daunte Culpepper, they hopefully won't be going through a new quarterback evey season. And the Twins just claimed the Division Title. Now let's hope they can pull off the a series win in the postseason.

Let's hope you're right, Leif. We have complete faith in the Twins, but with 12 games left on the schedule, we're going to try to keep calm about the Vikings for now. But if they're still threatening the 1972 Dolphins in another four weeks, then we might cave to the excitement.

Given that Schwarzenegger and Skip are the most popular candidates now, why not let them duke it out with their chins for governorship?
--Hannah Orlove

Excellent idea, Hannah! We hereby officially challenge Arnold Schwarzenegger to a "Battle of the Chins" for the California governorship!
We don't really expect him to reply, however. Coward! Skip could take him, easy! And chinless Gray Davis wouldn't stand a chance!
