Express yourself!
Have you always wanted to let Team Rockwood know just what you were thinking? Do you wonder why the panels of the strip are laid out horizontally instead of vertically? Or do you have sensitive documents that will bring down the government? In any case, we want to know! Just fill out your name and e-mail address, then let 'er rip! No question or comment is too bizarre for Team Rockwood to take a stab at, and if we can get enough mail coming in, this page will be updated weekly! (Unlike the old mailbag page, which got updated about four times in two years.)
So consider this an experiment in web interactivity. Or, consider it a way to artificially inflate our hit count. Either way, just write in!

Ever been to Penny Arcade? I love that comic. Rockwood, too, of course. Don't get me wrong! (shifty eyes) Penny Arcade doesn't have Haiku of the Week, after all. Or Mailbag Tuesday.

Yep. We read Penny Arcade, as well as several other web comics. It's all part of scoping out the competition. Not that any of these sites have anything to fear from us. The web is plenty big enough to hold different kinds of comics for different kinds of people. And while none of these comics have the obvious genius of Haiku Thursday, they do trump us in that they all get paid. Which would YOU rather have?

If you can find out, can you PLEASE get any of the band Sum41's addresses?!?! Preferably Dave Baksh's! I am a HUGE fan and I really wanted to find out! All I know is that they would be in Canada. I think some of their addresses are in Toronto. but if it's at all possible I would REALLY appreciate it!

We're glad you respect the supreme knowledge base of Team Rockwood, Erin, but we don't really know everything. If you want stars' addresses, we're not the ones to contact.
Besides, Dave told us if we handed out his address anymore he wasn't going to let us in his new video, and we can't pass that up!

So where is the 2003 Calendar????

Well, work at two different football games has kept us busy the last few weeks, so we're running a little behind schedule. Instead of having it done this week as we'd planned, we're now gunning for next weekend.
Don't worry! There will still be plenty of time to get the 2003 Rockwood Calendar before Christmas. Unless, of course, we get a job this weekend, too.

Why must we always hurry to write in? As of now, the new mailbag is 14 hrs. 49 mins. away. That's plenty of time to come up with a witty question.
Here's one now:
Why didn't my sucking up work, when, it clearly worked before?
--Elizabeth

Sometimes we start editing the Mailbag early, sometimes late. In this case, your letter made the cut, Elizabeth. On some weeks, even 14 hours might not be early enough. It just depends on our schedule.
As for your "sucking up" example, you'll notice that even in the week you chose, the "sucking up" haiku didn't win Haiku of the Week, so it didn't work quite as clearly as you'd hoped.
Besides, sucking up is only a secondary goal. Our first qualification is whether or not said haiku is actually good. Only if there are no "good" choices does sycophancy enter into the equation.
