So, I know Skip put up a brave face, but how does he feel about losing the girl AND the money?

We think it's pretty obvious he doesn't miss the girl at all, #3, or else he'd still be chasing her. As for the money, while $10 million might seem like a lot to you, Skip could lose that much per day, every day, for over 273 years before his trillion dollar fortune was squandered, and surely some of those $10 million bets will pay off. Needless to say, he's not to bothered by that, either.

Does Skip have any type of anti-missile defense on the station? If so, where did he buy it from? Not that I am looking for anti-missle defense systems or anything. I am just curious.

While it wasn't designed exclusively as an anti-missile shield, the station does have a defense system, Anthony. In this case, it was used to protect people from a hack director. Apparently, the effect was only temporary.
