January 8, 2009,

t's okay for Rockwood to be shameless, Brian. I was shameless when I engineered the haiku with a plug. :-)

Are there any other resolutions Al would like to make like maybe negotiating world peace, being the first man on Pluto (even though it's not a planet) and having a decent date for Valentine's Day this year?

A plug, Mikki? Oh, you mean for the 2009 Rockwood Calendar, available now? Why, we suppose it would be okay for you to plug that.

We think Al is done making resolutions for this year. We'll just have to see what happens to him this year that would make him consider new things for 2010.

We hope you left us with a "note" for a Happy New Year, Katie. We're optimists, so we're going to take it that way.

January 9, 2009,

Great game, Brian! Brian???????????????

Brian.....as consolation..........USC is still claiming they are #1. Obama is pushing for a BCS playoff system.....if that is any source of comfort for you????? But what does he know.....he bowls gutter balls.lol

Thanks so much for signing my calendar. Peace&Love, and i will support you always! Even when you're slightly....WRONG. Just Kidding, buddy. ;)

We'll admit that the BCS game surprised us, Sears. Mainly in the fact that we weren't expecting a defensive battle. Lost in the shuffle of how good Florida's SEC defense performed was the fact that Oklahoma's defense outperformed every other SEC defense, holding Florida to its lowest point total of the year. However, the Gators still took advantage of their opportunities while the Sooners did not, so they deserved to win the game.

So, our vote for national champion? That's easy. Utah. Yes, Utah. They finished undefeated and had a more impressive bowl win. The Coach's poll was bound by contract to vote for Florida, but the 48 people who voted for the Gators over the Utes in the independent AP poll should have to write an essay on what more Utah had to prove.

Oh, and that one guy who voted for USC? Moron. It's as simple as that.
